Suatu hari, Ahsin begitu bersemangat untuk pergi bersekolah. Seperti biasa, perjalanannya dimulai ketika berjalan kaki melewati beberapa gang dan jalan kecil dari rumahnya, untuk menuju sebrang jalan raya besar.
Sesampainya di sebrang jalan raya besar, Ahsin menunggu angkot. Beberapa menit kemudian, angkot sudah datang. Ahsin pun berangkat sekolah.
Setelah sampai, ia turun dari angkot dan menuju gerbang sekolah.
Lalu, Ahsin bertemu dengan sahabatnya di depan gerbang sekolah namanya Saga. Setelah itu mereka berdua masuk ke kelas bersama. Di kelas, Ahsin memiliki bakat yaitu menggambar.
Sedangkan bakat Saga adalah menulis cerita. Pagi itu, kelas Ahsin dan Saga diberi tugas oleh Pak Guru.
Tugasnya yaitu, membuat cerita bergambar. Berkelompok.
Ahsin dan Saga begitu senang. Mereka segera bekerjasama dan membuat ide ceritanya.
Setelah berdiskusi, mereka bersepakat untuk membuat cerita bergambar dengan judul Best Friend. Saga yang bertugas menulis cerita. Lalu Ahsin yang menggambar.
Namun, beberapa hari selanjutnya. Tugas mereka belum selesai. Karena Saga sakit dan tidak masuk sekolah. Ahsin pun merasa kesepian di kelas. Cerita Best Friend juga masih belum selesai.
Alhamdulillah. Beberapa hari kemudian Saga sembuh dari sakitnya. Tugas cerita bergambar masih bisa dilanjutka.
Tetapi, ditengah-tengah penulisan, mereka kehabisan tinta dan warna untuk menulis dan menggambar. Cerita bergambar mereka lagi lagi hampir tak selesai.
Akhirnya, Ahsin dan Saga pun tak menyerah. Mereka memutuskan untuk patungan guna membeli alat tulis baru dengan uang saku yang tersisa.
Dan akhirnya, buku cerita bergambar Best Friend yang mereka buat akhirnya selesai. Mereka cukup puas.
Karena telah bekerja keras setelah melewati beberapa rintangan mulai dari sakit sampai kehabisan tinta.
Tak disangka pula, buku Best Friend karya mereka ternyata di gemari oleh teman-teman sekelasnya dan kelas lain. Hal ini membuat Ahsin dan Saga senang dan bangga. Karena karya dan kerja keras mereka dihargai oleh teman temannya.
